If I could saddle a moonbeam,
I would do it just for you,
To share with you its warming glow,
At times you’re feeling blue.
If I could climb a mountain high,
Proclaim to the world my heart you own,
I would make it a place of hallowed serenity,
A sacred place to be alone.
Would that I could draw out your troubles,
And toss them in the sea,
I’d try to do it just for you,
Though it’s impossible for me.
For I cannot saddle a moonbeam,
Or release all troubles care,
But I promise to do the best I can,
To insure I’m always there.
LOVE’S RAINBURST
BY GARY JACOBSON
Love is like the pouring rain,
Falling down
A shower of sweet-honeyed pain
Wetting thru and thru
From foot to crown.
Love’s rainburst cleanses the heart,
Though it may drive you
Temporarily insane,
Wounded from the very start,
Shot with cupid’s dart.
Within love’s veil of tears,
Like in the rainstorm,
Lies a shoal full of trepidation and fears,
Anxious trembling
Drugging you like chloroform.
Love makes you go silly,
Leaves you walking around
Like a zombie,
Mumbling and talking to yourself willy-nilly,
Twitching like an eerie, junkie, kewpie.
It leaves your head feeling like a wall of stones,
Makes you lose sleep,
Infuses a creepy feeling
Right down to your bones,
Brings out behaviour totally like a creep.
But after love’s drenching
Comes the rainbow,
Without fail,
The mother of pearl afterglow,
Of bright hued confetti shining thru the veil.
Rainbows following the rainburst
Put maladies aright
Make the darkest night leak light,
Truly the souls delight,
Make all the beautiful world seem right!
You Mean Everything To Me
BY GARY JACOBSON
All I could ever want is you,
By my side
In my heart,
You make my life brand new.
I love you don’t you see,
Body,
Soul
Spirit,
As it shall always be,
You mean everything to me.
You have come into my heart
With a flourish,
Forever together shall we be.
From the start,
This day forward you’ll nourish,
Entwined souls that shall never part.
United for life
And all eternity,
Tender desire rife,
Forevermore
Destined lovers to be,
Beyond this life’s core.
